Oxytetracycline dihydrate equivalen to 200 mg oxytetracycline base
Pharmacological dosage is 20 mg/kg l.w., and it is administered by deep intramuscular route as a single dose of 1 ml Oksiprimavet LA 20% per 10 kg live weight. If necessary, dosage is repeated after 3-4 days. The volume administered in a single injection site should not exceed 10 ml in cattle, and 5 ml in sheep and goats. It should never be administered by intravenous route. The principles of asepsis and antisepsis should be followed during handling.
Oxyprimavet LA 20% Solution for Injection has a wide antibacterial spectrum, and is indicated for the treatment of following diseases caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive microorganisms in cattle, sheep and goats. Respiratory system, digestive system, urogenital system and foot infections, infectious keratoconjunctivitis, septic wounds, preoperative and postoperative wounds, secondary bacterial infections following viral infections and anaplasmosis.
