Anasayfa Products Animal Health Pet Spiramezol Oral Tablet
Each tablet contains 750,000 IU of Spiramycin (170.45 mg) and 125 mg of Metronidazole.
It is administered orally. To ensure the entire tablet is consumed, it is placed at the base of the tongue (deep in the mouth) or given to the animal with a small amount of food containing the tablet. The pharmacological dose in dogs is 75,000 IU of spiramycin and 12.5 mg of metronidazole orally per day, which is practically equivalent to 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. It is administered for 6 to 10 days depending on the severity of the disease. If the product needs to be divided, it should only be divided in half and should not be administered to dogs weighing less than 2.5 kg.
It is effective against gram-positive bacteria and anaerobic microorganisms susceptible to the combination of spiramycin and metronidazole. It is used in dogs as an adjunct to mechanical or surgical treatments for multiple bacterial infections of the gums and oral cavity, such as gingivitis, stomatitis, glossitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis, dental fistulas and fistulas associated with oral ulcers, cheilitis, and sinusitis.
It is not used in animals intended for food production.
