240 mg colistin sulphate equivalent to 4.800.000 IU kolistin base
The daily pharmacological dosage of colistin is 120 000 IU(6 mg) /kg l.w./day in chickens and turkey, and 80000 IU -100000 IU (4-5 mg) /kg l.w./day in calves and lambs. Unless otherwise recommended by the veterinarian, Kolisym 24% Oral Solution Powder at a dose of 25g/1000 kg l.w. is added into drinking water of chickens and turkey, the water is consumed in 3-4 days. The medicated water should always be freshly prepared. 1 g powder per 50 kg l.w. is sufficient in calves, lambs. Required volume of medicinal product is mixed with water and consumed.
It is indicated for the treatment of digestive system infections caused by Gram negative bacteria including especially E. Coli and Salmonella species in chicken, turkey, calves and lambs.
