300 mg Oxfendasole and 600 mg Oxyclosanide
Pharmacological dosage according to species: In sheep: 5 – 7,5 mg /kg l.w. Oxfendazole, 15-20 mg/kg l.w. Oxyclozanide; In cattle; 5 mg/kg l.w. Oxfendazole, 10-15 m/kg l.w. Oxyclozanide: Practical dosage: Lamb (20 kg) : Half of Oral Tablet Sheep(40 kg) : 1 Oral Tablet Bovine (100 -200 kg) : 2-3 Oral Tablets Cattle (200-300 kg) : 3-4 Oral Tablets. For cattle with live weight over 300 kg, the maximum number of tablets to be administered is 7-9 tablet, while the maximum number of tablets to be administered is 4-5 tablets in bovines, and 2-3 tablets in calves. Medizanid oral tablet is administered to animals by direct ingestion or by dissolving in water. When required, the tablets can be split from the notch, and used a half of the tablet.
MEDIZANID Oral Tablet is indicated for the treatment of and protection against gastro-intestinal and lung worms in egg, larval and mature stages, liver flukes in mature stage and Moniezia sp. in mature stage. Liver flukes: Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica (mature) Gastro-intestinal pinworm: Gastric: Haemonchus sp., Ostertagia sp., Trichostrongylus axei Small intestine: T. colubriformis, Trichostrongylus sp., Nematodirus sp., Cooperia sp., Bunostomum sp., Gaigeria pachyscelis Large intestine: Chabertia ovina, Oesophagostomum sp., Trichuris sp. Lung pinworms: Dictyocaulus spp. Cestodes: Moniesia sp.
The cattle and sheep, raised for meat, should not be sent to slaughtering during the treatment and until a period of 28 and 21 days, respectively, elapses following the last drug administration. The milk obtained from cattle during the treatment and for a period of 5 days (10-milking) following the last drug administration should not be used for human consumption. It is not used for dairy cows milking for human consumption.
